Terms of Service

Voice Gender Analyzer provides an informational, browser-based estimate of selected acoustic characteristics from a short recording. It may display a gender-presentation reference based on pitch, pitch movement, recording quality, and a spectral-balance proxy. It does not determine gender identity, biological sex, personal identity, health status, personality, or suitability for medical, therapeutic, legal, educational, housing, credit, insurance, or employment decisions.

By accessing or using the service, you agree to these terms and our Privacy Policy. If you do not agree, do not use the microphone feature or submit a waitlist email. These terms are written to set clear boundaries around a tool that processes recordings locally rather than to make promises a short voice sample cannot support.

Using the tool

Use the service only where you have permission to record. You are responsible for the device, browser, microphone permissions, and network connection you choose to use. Record your own voice or obtain the speaker's clear permission before recording anyone else. Do not try to use the service to identify, profile, verify, assess, or make a decision about a person.

You must not use the service to harass, discriminate against, out, deceive, impersonate, or evaluate another person. You must not use a result to decide access to employment, education, housing, credit, insurance, healthcare, public services, relationships, or safety. The system analyses the acoustic characteristics of a recording, not the identity or worth of a human being.

Your responsibilities

Keep your browser and device secure, review microphone permission before recording, and use a comfortable speaking level. Do not attempt to bypass security controls, interfere with the site, scrape it at a disruptive rate, introduce malicious code, or use the service for an unlawful purpose. Do not submit someone else's email address to the waitlist without their permission.

You are responsible for anything you choose to save, share, download, or say about your own results. The free analysis runs locally, so we do not retain a copy of the recording or result for you. If you share a visible result summary, make sure you understand that a simple acoustic reference can be misunderstood when separated from its explanation and disclaimer.

Prohibited uses

You may not use the service to create an identity classifier, infer protected or sensitive characteristics, build a biometric database, train an external model from the site's output, or target advertising based on voice-related information. You may not use automated means to overload the site or represent the tool's result as a medical, scientific, legal, or employment determination. These restrictions protect users and reflect the limits of the product itself.

You may read and share links to the public educational guides, but do not remove their limitation statements when quoting them or make them appear to be a professional assessment. If you use the site in a research, educational, or organizational setting, obtain any consents and approvals that apply to your own activity; access to this public tool does not provide them for you.

Results, limits, and professional advice

Pitch estimates can vary with recording quality, background noise, speaking style, language, the words in a passage, and browser or device capabilities. The spectral-balance value is a local proxy for the recorded signal; it is not a direct measurement of anatomy, formants, resonance placement, breathiness, or clinical voice quality. The report is exploratory and explainable, not a clinical assessment.

Do not use the result as a diagnosis or to delay professional support. If you experience pain, persistent hoarseness, sudden voice changes, difficulty speaking, or another health concern, seek appropriate advice from a qualified professional. A voice coach, speech professional, or healthcare professional can provide individualized guidance that this browser tool cannot provide.

Results and availability

The service is provided as available and may change, pause, or be removed as the product develops. We do not promise that a result will be accurate for every recording, work on every device, be uninterrupted, or fit a particular purpose. We may update the report, guides, interface, or technical implementation to improve clarity, security, or compatibility while preserving the core rule that audio is not uploaded for analysis.

To the maximum extent permitted by applicable law, the service is provided without warranties of merchantability, fitness for a particular purpose, or non-infringement. We are not liable for decisions made from, reliance on, sharing of, or inability to use a result. Nothing in these terms limits liability that cannot be limited by law.

Privacy choices

The core analyzer processes audio locally and does not upload recordings or acoustic result data to our servers. Your browser controls microphone permission, and you can revoke it at any time. An optional waitlist email is a separate voluntary contact action. Cookies and optional analytics are described in the Privacy Policy and must not receive recordings, pitch frames, presentation scores, email addresses, or other personal information through the analysis flow.

You are responsible for reviewing the privacy settings of the browser and device you choose to use. If you do not want to grant microphone access, you can read the public guides without using the recording feature. The core knowledge content does not require an account or a microphone.

Optional waitlist and third-party services

If you voluntarily join the Pro waitlist, an email form provider processes the contact information you submit so we can manage interest in product updates. That optional service is separate from local voice analysis and never includes your recording or acoustic result. Any optional analytics or advertising technologies will be described in the Privacy Policy and operated subject to applicable law and consent requirements.

Intellectual property

The site design, original guides, software, and branding are owned by Voice Gender Analyzer or its licensors and are protected where applicable. You may use the public tool and read the guides for personal, lawful purposes. Do not reproduce a substantial part of the site, misrepresent affiliation, or use the brand in a way that confuses visitors without written permission.

Changes and termination

We may update these terms when the product or applicable requirements change. We will update the date above for material changes. We may suspend or end access if needed to protect users, the service, or legal rights. You may stop using the service at any time by leaving the site and revoking browser microphone permission if you previously granted it.
